JAPANESE REIKI INSTRUCTION LEVELS:
SHODEN/Beginning Teachings/1st degree:
. The course will awaken the healing power you already possess by receiving 4 activations called attunements/reiju. You will also learn historical data, Hatsurai-Ho, meaning of hara and the 3 Diamonds, the 5 Precepts/Gokai, hand placements to heal yourself and others, plants and animals. You will be taught meditations and exercises from the epoch of the founder, Usui Sensei. You will receive and give full treatments over the two day period also. A good base is the best start to a lifetime of Reiki enticements!
Shoden Reiki I is foremost about meditating on the precepts, practicing the meditation practices like joshin-kokyu ho and seishin toitsu and hands-on healing on yourself. It is out of this that comes hands-on healing on others. Hands-on healing on others is in fact one of the last stepping stones as it needs to come from the space of our own clear mind: a mind of no anger or worry, of being humble, honest and compassionate. This way hands-on healing becomes like a moving meditation; we are mindful during the session, which means we can slip into our non-dual state of mind much more easily.

OKUDEN /Inner Teachings/2nd degree:
Okuden is a Japanese word meaning 'inner teachings'. As the word implies, a deeper understanding and connection to Usui Mikao's teachings is achieved during this course. Utilizing Japanese principles, this level teaches how to connect to Earth and Heaven energy; the first steps to becoming fully integrated with the universe. This is achieved through the practice of shirushi (symbols) and jumon (mantras). You will also learn byosen (scanning of body) and be taught how to send a "distance treatment" to anyone in the world. You will learn the three symbols that go with this level and how to chant them (kotodama) to bring out their vibrational spirit. This level will also support you in becoming a professional Reiki practitioner if that is your interest.
Previous proof of completetion of a Reiki 1 course is necessary before enrolling in this Reiki 2 class.
Okuden Reiki II is where we start to deepen this mindfulness through meditating on the symbols, chanting the mantras and with the meditation practice of Hatsurei ho. Again this is all for ourselves. Okuden means inner or hidden teachings so the tools taught within this level is all about rediscovering what is hidden inside of us: our True Self/Reiki. When we start to rediscover our True Self, our innate great bright light starts to become brighter and brighter. We can use this light for performing hands-on healing on others. The more we start to rediscover our True Self, the more we start to go into this non-dual, mindfulness state and the deeper hands-on healing for others will be. We can now start to see the reasons why Mikao Usui added these stepping stones within his system, slowly moving forward to rediscovering our True Self.

SHINPIDEN/Mystery Teachings/3rd degree/Master Practitioner and Master Teacher/Shihan levels offered together in 2-day class.
Shinpiden is the Japanese word for ‘mystery teachings’. It is aimed at Level II practitioners or established Reiki Teachers who wish to continue their personal journey on this Japanese path, a journey that is ongoing long after you complete the Shinpiden course. It is therefore not just about teaching and is even suitable for those who wish to simply develop their personal Reiki practise and occasionally teach those around them. Self-empowerment is attained in Shinpiden through a strong energetic connection to the source of Reiki. It is also the result of the confidence you will feel as a result of your thorough knowledge of Reiki – how it works, what all the variations on Reiki actually are, where Reiki stands in the world today, the Japanese shirusi (symbols) and jumon (mantras) and their connection to Japanese philosophies and what the origin of Reiki's spiritual nature is. One of the major focuses of this course is to tap into the sense that you are, and always were, a great, bright light – this is achieved by working with the fourth shirushi and jumon. This intensive Shinpiden Reiki Teacher course focuses on Reiki as a spiritual practice from a Japanese perspective.
Shinpiden Reiki III, we start to go even deeper into rediscovering our True Self. Shinpiden means mystery teachings, which is pointing us to the mystery of our True Self, the mystery of Reiki. In these teachings we start to realize that the hands are only a very small part of the system of Reiki, that in fact our whole body emanates light. At this stage we start to rediscover that we can Be Reiki - Be Our True Self - Be the great bright light, in all we do. This in turn means that we can bring healing into our daily life more and more. We cannot walk in the street and say to each person we come across, "Excuse me, can I do hands-on healing on you." They would probably think we are mad! But we can walk in this state of mind of great bright light, emanating a field of compassion and wisdom from which each person, animal, tree, etc.. who comes in contact with this field can take whatever he or she needs for their healing to take place. This field is a field of embodiment of the precepts, a field of no anger, no worry, being humble, honest, and compassionate. This emanation of the great bright light of our True Self is a way of touching others so much more deeply than just the hands. It is a way of Being, a way of Life. This state of Being Reiki, our True Self is like an Enso, the Zen circle, no beginning, no end.
